Leslie is new to the Roy area. The clinic is a great way for her to… Continue reading

Hot Polo at the Leo Birthday Bash

Posted on: August 11th, 2012 by Claudia

More than 20 players from around the Pacific Northwest competed in the Leo Birthday Cup this past weekend at Tacoma Polo Club.  Five teams vied in the benefit tournament for Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center.

Action in the two-goal round robin and the zero-goal match game continued on despite the nearly 95° heat. Taylor, Shelby, Avery and Gracie sold 100 ice cream bars and untold bottles of water. Their college funds are growing.

After dinner, the games continued. Foot mallet piñata smash, as always,  was a great success. Maria Card… Continue reading

New horse, new students, new season

Fanta, pictured above,  is the newest member of the Polo Zealot School string. She’s a Canadian gal who has played polo a long time. She’ll take you the the ball and turn on a dime when the play changes direction. She joins Sadie and Sierra who have been with me since the beginning. Hombre and Tara are coming in the next week or so to fill out the school stable.

The weather has been teasing us. A couple of weekends playing outside and, boom, rain soggies up the field so we’re back to lessons inside. This week… Continue reading
